How are Artstone pots made?

All our pots are made with recycled plastic and natural stone powder. The ratio differs for each series. These substances are mixed, and sprayed into a mould. The structure created by spraying ensures that each pot looks slightly different. The result is a unique pot, steadfast in strength and design.

How do you use an Artstone flower pot indoors?

Artstone pots have a special drainage system to make it as easy as possible for plants and their caretakers. The drainage system is Artstone's own creation and development, and is truly unique! The system has multiple functions, and is integrated into the pot and therefore invisible. Quite different from the old-fashioned saucer under the flower pot!

Reservoir

A common mistake is that consumers overwater plants. This is not a problem with an Artstone flower pot, as the excess water ends up in the reservoir. This reservoir also serves as water storage. So thirsty roots can always drink. That's a nice touch.

Plug

When consumers put an Artstone flower pot in their home, a few things are important to communicate. It is important that the plug is firmly pressed into the bottom, and that one waters plants calmly. With extreme watering, the reservoir will fill up, and water will join the soil in the pot. You can feel how much water the plant has by the weight of the pot. For outdoor use of an Artstone flower pot, always remove the plug from the bottom. Then the plant is protected against root rot and the pot is completely frost-proof.

Overflow

The overflow is specially designed for outdoor use. All you have to do is remove the plug from the bottom. If too much water ends up in the pot, for example after a heavy rain, the overflow comes to the rescue. So once the reservoir is completely filled with water, the water doesn't run back into the pot, but flows away via the overflow. You can also use this overflow function indoors. Simply place a suitable Artstone saucer under the pot. Always water plants gently. As soon as water runs into the saucer, you know the reservoir is full.
